2024 was such a memorable year for me, it gave me some of my favorite pet sessions yet!! With doing 109 sessions this year, I felt like taking a stroll through memory lane of the past twelve months and wanted to revisit the best photos of my pet sessions from the year.
If you’re featured in this blog, feel free to share this with any family and friends to show off your published photos!!
Sunday is a golden retriever puppy, and for her first photoshoot, she did great! She had a blast exploring the area and running through the flowers, which is why I love this location so much. This is a great spot year-round and is beautiful every season, but the Spring flowers are always my favorite piece of this location!
Carissa & Benjamin specifically wanted to do this pet session so that they could have beautiful photos of Mercy to decorate the house with (I loved the metal prints they bought, #printyourphotos!) Since Mercy was a bit nervous to start the shoot, we started at her own home to ensure the most comfortable environment for her, before we headed to her favorite local park!
I’ve been photographing Eagle for years, I think over five times! His parents wanted to celebrate his birthday in style, so they threw him a party at The Pet-Friendly Dog Bakery in Manayunk.
Sam is just like me – she loves Eloise as much as I love my dogs and considers Eloise to be her first baby! So what better way to commemorate their special bond, than to have a girls’ day in the neighborhood!
This was a last-minute booking that I am really happy I was able to fit in. One of their dogs didn’t have much time left, so we wanted to capture their memories as much as we could – so we of course walked to all of their favorite spots and took photos in the places they spent the most time together.
I don’t photograph cats very often, because when we do it can be a bit of a challenge. But because of my own cat, Mr. Bologne, I do have a soft spot for orange cats.
Grace, Benji, and I reunited to do a quick photoshoot to get some updated photos of Benji (and also because I just missed seeing his handsome smile!
Dunkin is Jacki’s favorite coffee date and companion (he will never say no to an espresso martini!) We had so much fun walking around the neighborhood and capturing lovely Spring photos of Dunkin.
We wanted to capture some great photos of Guinness & Flynn together, and let the humans join them for some photos! We decided to do a classic Old City session since it was only a quick walk from their home.
Katye and Scott wanted to do this session to get an updated family photo since all of their previous wall art was taken before they had added Pretzel to their family. I loved seeing how colorful Xander, Pretzel, and their parents were in their coordinating lavender outfits & accessories!
Frank’s parents were gifted a gift card, so we headed into Old City to get the best portrait of him!
Kelly and I met through Lucky’s Wiener Race, where Hazel was a contestant! Kelly wanted to have a “just because” session to document Hazel in her younger years and to have photos to look back on in a few years when they’re both older.
Mira is a 9-month-old puppy who did great for her first photoshoot, because of how well-trained she is (thanks Mom!) Originally we were just going to do a Christmas Tree Farm session, but we had decided to head to a nearby park as well to capture some portraits of Mira and her mom. The best part of the session was getting to see all of Mira’s tricks!
Grace, Benji, and I met up again later in the year to take some updated birthday portraits at one of his favorite places – grandma and grandpa’s house!
Marlo & Jackson’s parents felt like it was a challenge to get photos of both dogs on their own, so they decided to come to me! We made the most out of the spring flowers at the arboretum and had a great time capturing their family photos.
The only time I ever photograph proposals is when pets are included, which is how I came to photograph Barbra Streisand and Dolly Parton (10/10 favorite dog names of the year).
Marty and Boomer are not only cousins but also best friends. Their owners decided that the dog’s friendship and bond deserved some documentation. I think both the dog’s favorite part of the session, as well as my favorite part, was when they shared a frozen blueberry lollipop at the end of the photoshoot.
If you’ve made it this far, I’d like to grace you with some of my favorite photos of my own dogs Bear & Lola from this year.
Thank you everyone for a wonderful 2024. I always love getting to know and photograph your pets each year. If you know anyone who is considering starting their own family archive, share with them this blog so they can see what exactly I may have in store for them!
