I was so excited when I got asked to photograph Noni! I’ve known her mom Alyssa for a few years now and was so excited to hear that she added a new puppy to her family.
I had the pleasure of photographing Alyssa and her first pup Wally together two years prior and LOVED getting to work with them! Wally is a real joy to be around and to photograph, so I just knew his new younger sister would give me the same delightful experience. Photographing puppies can be challenging due to how young they are and the fact that they are still getting adjusted to life, but Noni was a pleasant surprise! She was so well-behaved for how young she was at the time of our session considering the fact that she hadn’t been fully trained just yet. Since this was a destined puppy session, we got lots of photos of Noni solo but we of course had to make sure to get some photos of both dogs together and some with mom as well.
When I photographed Wally in 2021, we did it during the winter- which gave us the perfect excuse to plan Noni’s session during the middle of summer. Both dogs were surrounded by bright colorful blooming flowers which just added a really beautiful element to the two siblings’ photos. We went to one of my FAVORITE spring/summer locations – Maple Acres Farm to capture the two dogs during the height of lush summer. This is a great location to have family and/or pet photos done because it allows for so much variety and beautiful light. I, fortunately, have a permit that allows me to shoot at Maple Acres Farm for the entire year so there are no additional fees when booking your session.
